- Residential Lighting – CFL Program Trends: Innovative Approaches
Register Now!
2:00-3:30pm Eastern, December 11, 2008
Facilitator: Rebecca Foster, CEE
Experts: Chris Granda, New Jersey Clean Energy Program; Jean-Daniel Gagné, Hydro-Québec
What’s It About?
During this Webinar, two CEE members will present information on innovative program approaches for residential lighting. The New Jersey Clean Energy Program draws upon partnerships with community organizations to increase the use of Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs). Hydro Quebec bases its customer education activities on a logic model that describes how its work ties to specific market barriers. The presenters will describe the changing CFL market and explain why, and how, they developed their program approaches. After the presentations, participants will have an opportunity to talk with each other about integrating community partners into program design for CFLs, the importance of logic modeling and evaluation, and customer education strategies.
- Gas Residential Water Heating – Current Challenges and Future Opportunities
Register Now!
2:00-3:30pm Eastern, December 15, 2008
Facilitators: Kara Rodgers, CEE
Experts: Harry McDonough, National Grid; TBD
What’s It About?
Water heating is a highly attractive area of investment for gas efficiency programs because it represents a major residential end-use of natural gas. However to successfully harness the potential of water heating programs, administrators need to understand the opportunities and challenges associated with them. During this seminar, expert energy efficiency program administrators will draw on their own experiences in day to day program management to share insights and lessons learned, with the end goal of providing participants with a better sense of how to implement successful gas water heating efficiency programs.
This session will also explore options for running gas water heating efficiency programs, such as why some programs choose to run programs for storage-type water heaters while others choose to run programs for tankless water heaters, and address specific and technical questions submitted by participants.
- Consider Your Options: Planning Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Programs
Register Now!
3:00-4:30pm Eastern, December 17, 2008
Facilitators: Ted Jones & Jason Erwin, CEE
Experts: Jim Parks, SMUD; Fred Gordon, Energy Trust of Oregon
What’s It About?
It is tempting to try to identify "best program practices" for energy efficiency program administrators who are charged with planning and managing energy efficiency programs. However, new program offerings need to satisfy a myriad of considerations that vary from State to State or even within a particular State. Further, not all programs are subject to the same criteria when it comes to incorporating new program offerings or measures.
The objectives of this session are to:
- Identify and build awareness of key questions and common considerations that administrators should be mindful of in planning C&I programs
- Understand common program drivers, constraints and resources that impact program planning, priorities and options.
