Beyond Water Heating Savings: Ancillary Hot Water Saving Technology Incentive Programs

August 11, 2010, 2:00-3:30pm Eastern (11:00am-12:30pm Pacific)

Facilitator: Joanne O’Donnell, CEE
Experts: Carlos Ruiz, Southern California Gas Company; Holly Lloyd, Southwest Gas

What's It About?

In addition to water heater incentive programs, program administrators are beginning to offer incentives for ancillary hot water savings technologies. Presenters from Southern California Gas and Southwest Gas will provide an overview of the technologies covered by their programs as well as any related marketing efforts and key lessons learned. Technologies covered during this session will include low flow shower heads, ultra low flow and thermostatically controlled restricting shower heads, and cold water wash efforts. Join us to learn how you can incorporate these technologies into your program and boost the hot water savings potential of your customers.

What is Ask the Experts?

This webinar is part of the Ask the Experts series of free workshops presented in webinar format to help new or prospective efficiency program administrators tackle specific energy efficiency program issues. The format is both informative and interactive, so be sure to bring your questions.

Who Should Attend?

Ask the Experts is open to new administrators of energy efficiency programs, state regulators, and employees of CEE members. Contractors and consultants are currently excluded. Others may participate by personal invitation of CEE.

Those who are currently running or considering running water heater programs and are looking for ways to ramp up their savings will find this webinar useful. Ancillary hot water savings technologies are a great way to leverage the outreach efforts of new or existing water heater programs.
