Ongoing Training Opportunities
American
Evaluation Association
The American Evaluation Association is an international professional
association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of
program
evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of
evaluation. The Association lists an extensive array of evaluation
training
opportunities across the world on its meetings
and events calendar.
Association of Energy Engineers
The Association of Energy Engineers offers live and web-based seminars
on an
ongoing basis. Subjects of potential interest to evaluators include
Comprehensive Five-day Training Program for Business Energy
Professionals and
Fundamentals of M&V. Click here
for details and a
complete list of offerings.
Association
of Energy Services Professionals
The Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) is
dedicated to
advancing the professional interests of individuals working to provide
value
through energy services and energy efficiency by the sharing of ideas,
information and experience. AESP offers
"Brownbag
Seminars" by telephone on an ongoing basis. Many of the topics are of
interest to evaluators. For more information, go to AESP's home page.
AESP also
offers on-line courses.
The Evaluator’s Institute
The Evaluators’ Institute (TEI)
offers certificates for professional evaluators. One certificate
requires
demonstration of evaluation know-how and three are course based. The
program is
offered to assist evaluators, and those who wish to be, in planning a
program
of study in evaluation, in acquiring the knowledge and skills essential
to
conduct high quality evaluations, and in having evidence (certificate)
to
provide public acknowledgement of preparation as a professional
evaluator. The
certificates differ in the breadth and depth of subject matter to which
the
candidates are exposed, the amount of coursework, and the requirement
for
demonstration of know-how. Each focuses on important knowledge, skills,
and attitudes
needed for the conduct of evaluations that are valid, informative, and
useful
to stakeholders. For more information, go to TEI’s home page.
Tufts University Certificate in Program
