Foster Promoted to PrincipalTen Years of Leadership Recognized
"Rebecca’s ascension from Program Associate through the ranks to her new position is testament to her hard work and many contributions over her 10 years with CEE," said Ed Wisniewski, Deputy Director. "The organization appreciates her continued service and accomplishment and we look forward to the many great contributions to come." Foster began working at CEE in March 2000. Since then, she has been promoted three times. She currently leads the residential team in its committee work on whole house, consumer electronics, residential HVAC, appliances, and lighting. She has also been instrumental in reaching across sectors to develop new committees, such as forming the joint committee on solid state lighting with commercial team. For the last ten years, Foster has had the opportunity to work with CEE members to promote efficiency opportunities across the residential sector. She was instrumental in starting Lighting for Tomorrow, the energy efficient lighting design competition run with American Lighting Association and the Department of Energy. Additionally, she initiated a partnership with North American Technician Excellence, helping to create new relationships and markets for CEE HVAC initiatives. Convening CEE committees to define needs for new and revised ENERGY STAR® specifications has also been a core part of her work. Foster is a graduate of Boston University and expects to receive her Masters in Business Administration from Simmons College in August.
