Higher Dishwasher Tiers Provide Differentiation; Include Water Use
CEE Tier 1 dishwashers (0.65 EF or greater) represented 86 percent of sales as of the fourth quarter of 2007. In response to these market conditions, the residential Appliance Committee recommended to the Board on June 6 that Tier 1 move to 0.72 EF, with a water requirement of 5.0 gallons per cycle.
