MARK YOUR CALENDARS...

JANUARY 15TH, 2008
ENERGY STAR as a Platform for Local Programs

Do any of these statements describe your situation?
  • Our marketing budgets are tight
  • We need to increase program participation
  • We are about to design a new program and aren't sure where to start
  • We need to learn more about C&I "benchmarking" tools and strategies
  • We thought ENERGY STAR was just a label for residential products
If so, come to Long Beach and learn how to take full advantage of ENERGY STAR's inventory of support materials for local programs. This free workshop is open to all invitees, both current members of CEE and those who may be interested in joining.

ENERGY STAR provides a powerful platform for utilities, state agencies, and other organizations implementing energy efficiency programs to save energy and reduce peak demand. Using ENERGY STAR tools and strategies, organizations can reduce program costs and implementation timelines while increasing the efficacy of their programs.

This 1-day workshop -- which will include Residential and C&I tracks -- will address the following topics in detail:

  • Residential appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, HVAC, and new construction
  • Commercial kitchens
  • Commercial and industrial benchmarking
  • Logo use & co-branding strategy
  • Turnkey marketing materials
  • Trends in awareness and brand equity
  • On-line resources
  • DOE and EPA Staff Contacts

Presentations by DOE and EPA staff will be followed by ample time for Q&A and discussion. The workshop will also include two concurrent panels (Residential and C&I) of CEE Members that will describe successful strategies for incorporating ENERGY STAR into their local programs.
