Workshop in a Nutshell
One objective of the CEE Data Centers & Servers Committee is to identify preferred program approaches that result in significant energy savings in different data center environments. With a combined workshop and short data center tour, CEE members will learn about recent IT industry efforts to coordinate data center energy efficiency pilot projects and the results to date. Considering these experiences through a program lens, participants will discuss and identify the minimum information needs from data center efficiency projects that would give the efficiency program community confidence in approaches that yield consistent and credible energy savings results. The workshop will help the Committee identify key actions in 2010 to produce the information needed to enhance existing program offerings and identify potential “mass market” program approaches.
Registration is limited to 30. Priority will be given to members of the CEE Data Centers Committee, as work during this session continues current committee work and will inform 2010 committee activities. We will try to accommodate all registration requests; however, if space becomes an issue we will prioritize committee members and also try to ensure a fair representation across the CEE membership.
Attention: Because this is a government laboratory, we are required to provide your name, citizenship, and email address prior
to entering the facility. Please indicate your citizenship when you register and bring a photo ID with you. In addition, please wear comfortable walking shoes and, depending on the weather,
rain gear, since a short outdoor walk (including some stairs) is required between the buildings. If you need alternate access, please let us know, and we can arrange that.
