Background
In 2006 CEE held a Natural Gas DSM Summit that crafted a vision and identified action plans to help foster the development of a natural gas efficiency program industry. Since that time, the Gas Committee at CEE has launched a residential water heating initiative and has been actively exploring several other of the technologies identified at the 2006 Summit. Though work remains to be done, the rapidly changing environment for energy efficiency delivery and the natural gas utility industry make this an excellent time to take stock of our progress since the last Summit and articulate any new directions.

Purpose
These changes have created uncertainty for gas program portfolio managers who are expected to meet higher savings targets. At the 2010 Summit on Natural Gas Efficiency Programs, portfolio managers will have the opportunity to meet with peers to discuss the challenges they face. We will pool our collective experience to gain a deeper understanding of the current strategic environment for gas efficiency programs in ways that will help individual portfolio managers design more effective programs and the Gas Committee to identify how it can help.

Who Should Attend
This Summit is for gas efficiency portfolio managers who work for a program administrator (utility, state or third party) and are responsible for planning, managing, and reporting on natural gas efficiency programs. To make this Summit most productive, we’re seeking participants who have experience assessing efficiency program objectives, timelines, and resources for gas efficiency programs and maintaining a balance of program activities across the portfolio in order to achieve multi-year goals. It is open to all CEE gas program administrator members and requests from prospective members will be considered on a space available basis.

Come to this Summit to gain insight into the strategic environment of natural gas efficiency that can be used to help your programs today, and work together at CEE to leverage your program efforts. If you have any questions regarding this summit, please contact Kara Rodgers at 617-337-9262 or krodgers@cee1.org.
