What's It About?

This Ask the Experts series will address both the complexity of boiler systems and identify various program approaches currently offered by our members. As Part 1 of this series, this session will focus on the key items that program managers need to understand about boiler systems in order to run good programs. This session will provide a foundation for members and non-members alike in the fundamentals of commercial and industrial boilers.

The goal of this session is to provide a grounding in the understanding of boiler systems that translates into improved design and operation of commercial and industrial boiler programs. The presentations will address the following topics/questions:

  • What are the key elements of boiler systems that need to be considered when running a boiler program?
  • Where are the savings opportunities in boiler systems?
  • Where is the "low-hanging fruit"?
  • How do these differ between commercial and industrial systems?
  • What are some lessons learned about these savings opportunities?

What is Ask the Experts?

This event is part of the Ask the Experts series of free workshops presented in webinar format to help new or prospective efficiency program administrators tackle energy efficiency program issues in depth. Hear from top program administrators about how they approached designing effective residential gas heating programs, what worked, and what lessons they learned. The format is both informative and interactive, so be sure to bring your questions.
