Achieving Infield Efficiency with Residential Central Air Conditioners: Equipment & Quality Installation

June 26, 2008 2:00-3:30 Eastern

Facilitator: John Taylor
Experts: Scott Markwood, New Jersey Clean Energy Program; David Legg and Richard Moran, Massachusetts Cool Smart Program; Subid Wegley, Pacific Gas and Electric; Price Robertson, Oncor Electric Delivery

What's It About?

Residential Air Conditioning Programs are common to reduce energy use as well as peak demand. Representatives of programs in California, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Texas described how to get the most benefit out of equipment incentive programs. They also described cost effective quality installation programs that have proven successful. We also provided a brief summary of the definitions, tools, and resources for residential air conditioning program administrators. The presenters, who have overcome barriers in implementing advanced programs in all kinds of climates, were available to answer questions about particular situations.

What is Ask the Experts?

This event is part of the Ask the Experts series of free workshops presented in webinar format to help new or prospective efficiency program administrators tackle energy efficiency program issues in depth. Hear from top program administrators about how they approached designing effective residential gas heating programs, what worked, and what lessons they learned. The format is both informative and interactive, so be sure to bring your questions.
