Comprehensive Existing Homes Retrofits

October 16, 2009 1:00-2:00pm Eastern

Facilitator: Rebecca Foster, CEE
Expert: Maggie Ramos, Long Island Power Authority

What's It About?

On this Webinar, the Long Island Power Authority will describe their work promoting comprehensive existing home retrofits, including their long-standing Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program and their newly-launched Home Performance Direct pilot program. Attendees will hear from LIPA on their success to date, the drivers behind the pilot project, the pros and cons of the program models they have used, and what’s next for the program. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to engage in Q&A with Maggie Ramos, Manager of both LIPA programs.

What is Ask the Experts?

This webinar is part of the Ask the Experts series of free workshops presented in webinar format to help new or prospective efficiency program administrators tackle specific energy efficiency program issues. The format is both informative and interactive, so be sure to bring your questions.

Who Should Attend?

Ask the Experts is open to new administrators of energy efficiency programs, state regulators, and employees of CEE members. Contractors and consultants are currently excluded. Others may participate by personal invitation of CEE.

Residential program planners, designers, and implementers who are familiar with the basic elements and terminology of energy efficiency programs, but who want to learn more about applying these in a comprehensive “whole house” context will gain the most from this session. Those with three or fewer years of experience will also gain an understanding of key considerations for residential program planning.
