CEE's government programs address three distinct – and significant – markets: publicly assisted housing, state and local government procurement, and traffic signaling. Each of these initiatives provides participants with hands-on assistance in reaching this traditionally hard-to-serve sector.

For detailed information about the programs described below, click on the appropriate links.

Using a bulk procurement approach that produces attractive pricing, CEE has facilitated the installation of more than 200,000 super-efficient refrigerators in public and multi-family housing units.

This initiative assists government purchasing officials in procuring energy-efficient products. CEE has developed a number of tools and resources that can be used in designing programs for energy-efficient government purchasing.

CEE is promoting energy-efficient traffic signals and expanding awareness of light-emitting diode (LED) technology as a high-efficiency lighting source. LED traffic signals consume 80-90 percent less energy and generally last 5-7 years.
