- identifying opportunities to support

- promoting sound motor system management

CEE M&MS Initiative Resources
The CEE Premium Efficiency
Specification for 1-200 hp general purpose motors has been retired. Pursuant
to the 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act, this efficiency level became
the federal minimum requirement in December 2010 in the US. |

Decisions MatterSM (MDM): a public
awareness campaign to promote motor system decision-making based on life cycle
cost analysis, proactive planning, and consideration of system optimization
through the use of adjustable speed drives (ASDs) in appropriate applications.
Managed by CEE, MDM is sponsored by efficiency program administrators, motor
and drive manufacturers, the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA),
and other industry experts. MDM
Tools, such as those listed below, are available on the MDM
website, and can
be used to illustrate the energy and cost savings benefits of motor system
management to commercial and industrial motor decision-makers:
