2007 winners announced

On September 11, 2007, the winners of the 2007 Lighting for Tomorrow competition were
announced at the American Lighting Association Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX. In
the CFL Indoor Fixture Family category, the Grand Prize was awarded to Sea Gull Lighting
for its Acadia family. In the CFL Outdoor Fixture Family category, Savoy House won the top
prize for its Aficinado family. The Grand Prize in the SSL category was awarded to the LR6
Recessed Downlight, produced by LED Lighting Fixtures. More information on the winners is

2007 competition is launched

On January 19, 2007, the Lighting for Tomorrow competition was launched at the Dallas Market. Attendees viewed winning entries from the 2006 competition and were encouraged to enter products into the 2007 event. There was also a Lighting for Tomorrow exhibition at the ENERGY STAR Lighting Partners Meeting March 12-14, 2007. Winning entries from 2006 were on display and attendees were encouraged to participate in the 2007 competition.

Lighting for Tomorrow is currently in Phase 4, a three-year project outlined in the LFT Program Plan, which covers activities from 2006-2009. For a copy of the Program Plan, contact Eileen Eaton.

market and expand the market infrastructure to deliver them.
