Second CEE Evaluation
Workshop for Regulators Held

On September 21, CEE held its second workshop on evaluation for regulators. The half-day shop, entitled “Evaluation for Achieving Energy Efficiency Policy Objectives,” introduced evaluation issues, approaches, and methods in a way that is relevant to the work of regulators. The workshop was held as part of the Institute of Public Utilities (IPU) week-long Advanced Regulatory Studies Program, held annually in Lansing, Michigan. Marian Brown of Southern California Edison and Monica Nevius of CEE copresented. The workshop contents were developed in 2006 with the help of an advisory group of members’ evaluators.

CEE is making plans to hold the workshop via Web cast later this year, again in conjunction with the IPU, which is an official provider of training for the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners. CEE is also exploring the possibility of offering a multiday evaluation workshop in the Spring with IPU in Lansing, Michigan. For more information, contact Monica Nevius.
