Canada proposed efficiency legislation in 2007 as well, although not in an omnibus bill as was done in the United States. Separate bills harmonizing Canadian and U.S. energy factors addressed residential ceiling fans and fan kits, residential dishwashers, dehumidifiers, torchières, commercial clothes washers and icemakers, gas fueled heat, and traffic signals.
