Corrections to the CEE 2008 Annual Industry Report

  chart

If you have a printed version of the CEE 2008 Annual Industry Report, please note the following corrections.

  • On page 10, the 2008 Canadian Electric bar chart does not accurately reflect the correct numbers in the table. The chart and text have been corrected.
  • On page 21, delete "now a part of National Grid USA"

We appreciate hearing from our members, and we take full responsibility and apologize for these errors. Please contact Sarah Griffith with any other reactions you have to this report.

Electric Budgets Grow in Provinces
Canadian electric budgets rose 32 percent since 2007. Ontario passed legislation requiring all available cost-effective efficiency as a first choice for new supply, increasing its budget to more than $281 million and more than doubling their load management program. British Columbia's budget rose to over $112 million, due in part to a large increase in low income program budgets. Quebec continued its strong support with an increased 2008 budget of $236 million. Ninety-four percent of Canadian electric budgets reported are administered by CEE members.
