CEE 2008 Annual Industry Report Corrections

If you have a printed version of the CEE 2008 Annual Industry Report, please note the following edits.

On page 10, please note that the 2008 Canadian Electric bar chart does not accurately reflect the correct numbers in the table. The chart and text below have been corrected.

Canadian Electric Budgets

Electric Budgets Grow in Provinces

Canadian electric budgets rose 32 percent since 2007. Ontario passed legislation requiring all available cost-effective efficiency as a first choice for new supply, increasing its budget to more than $281 million and more than doubling their load management program. British Columbia’s budget rose to over $112 million, due in part to a large increase in low income program budgets. Quebec continued its strong support with an increased 2008 budget of $236 million. Ninety-four percent of Canadian electric budgets reported are administered by CEE members.
